My dog died on Wednesday. He was twelve. I loved him. This is a portrait I made of him a while back. It is a little bit off, but it’s off in a way that seemed to capture his personality, so I didn’t “fix” it. Junebug was also known as “Junior,” “Thug Life,” and “Jonathan.”

I adore your portrait of Junebug. It’s perfect! I never had the pleasure of meeting him in person, but I have seen many pictures…and you really seem to have captured his smile..the light in his eyes…his lovely personality.
I am so sorry for your loss, but I know you made Junebug feel very loved and gave him the best home possible.
